Corners of Time showcases Lebanese olive oil

Interesting food fact: Lebanese olive trees are thought to be the oldest in the world at about 6,000 years old. Corners of Time honors that amazing tradition with its robust, spicy olive oil made from small farms in Lebanon. The company produces extra virgin olive oil, as well as flavored versions including oil infused with pomegranate, Meyer lemon and chili—the most popular in Texas, of course.

The company also offers jams, such as dried fig jam with walnuts and mulberry preserves, and spices like zaatar, a mix of Lebanese oregano, thyme, sumac, sesame and sea salt, which “They put on everything in Lebanon—breakfast, lunch and dinner,” says Irene Farrimond, director of sales and marketing. Along with sprinkling it on olive oil to create a tasty dip for bread, you can use it to marinate meat or to jazz up pizza, salads, sandwiches and more.
